In a stunning surprise, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation is reportedly planning to more than double the size of its proposed new Neurological Institute and bring more than 1,000 new jobs to the global health care system’s main campus near University Circle.

A plan to enhance West 25th Street with dedicated bus and bike lanes plus new zoning and parking guidelines could make it a ‘complete street’ and spur more development along it.

According to a filing submitted to the city of Cleveland yesterday, Sherwin-Williams has set the date for its headquarters groundbreaking ceremony — two weeks before the city is scheduled to possibly approve it.

It’s not much to look at right now, but a five-story commercial building at the southwest corner of St. Clair Avenue and West 3rd Street in downtown Cleveland appears to be the subject of a power play involving the neighboring site of Sherwin-Williams’ proposed global HQ.

Denver and Cleveland investors acquired 20 Glenville apartment buildings with the intent of renovating them with affordable housing. The investors, Cardinal Housing Group and Salus Development, are committing $16.6 million to property acquisitions and rehabilitations.
