GCRTA to aid in the expansion of two parks

Two parks in Cleveland are due to expand thanks to contributions of land by the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA). The two parks involved are the Cleveland Metroparks’ Rivergate Park in the Flats near Downtown Cleveland and Hillside Park in the Kinsman neighborhood on the city’s East Side.

Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) board members voted yesterday to hire a joint venture to rebuild Cleveland’s East 79th Street station on the Blue and Green light-rail lines. That follows last month’s board vote to hire another contractor to reconstruct the Warrensville-Van Aken Blue Line station in Shaker Heights.
