Hiring expected to continue into next year
Solon-based Swagelok announced this week that it is planning a major expansion this year and next. That expansion will start by hiring 1,200 people this year with more due to be added in 2027. And most of that hiring will occur in Northeast Ohio, company officials said.
To put that growth into perspective, the manufacturer of industrial fluid system currently employs 5,700 worldwide. Most of the hiring will occur at its campus at Solon and Cochran roads, representing a 21 percent increase in employment just this year.
Although headquartered in Solon, Swagelok has more than 20 production locations around Greater Cleveland and nearly 200 authorized sales and service centers in 70 countries.
Swagelok officials said they are hiring in nearly all areas, including manufacturing, skilled trades, and production leadership roles to support ongoing business growth and customer demand.
“Every role at Swagelok contributes to work that matters,” said Brent Blouch, Swagelok’s president and chief operating officer in a written statement.
At is fulfillment center off Cochran Road in Solon is a health clinic for Swagelok medical plan members, one of many employment perks (Google).

The latest addition to Swagelok’s growing Solon campus is this 200,000-square-foot distribution center that opened last year on F.A. Lennon Drive (Google).
