Bedrock’s ambitious Tower City, riverfront plans

After months of work, Bedrock Real Estate of Detroit and its masterplan architect David Adjaye Associates of Ghana today released their vision for the Cuyahoga Riverfront below Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland. The $3.5 billion vision would add more than 3.5 million square feet of mixed uses next to the former railroad passenger terminal turned shopping center. It’s the latest in a century’s worth of ambitious visions of the waterfront closest to Public Square.

An executive-level committee at Sherwin-Williams (SHW) has made a critical decision — the final height of its new headquarters tower just west of downtown Cleveland’s Public Square. According to sources on the HQ design team, the height decided by SHW’s Building Our Future Committee is 600 feet.

Sherwin-Williams HQ design concept comes into focus

Three sources have confirmed it — the new Sherwin-Williams (SHW) base headquarters (HQ) tower on Public Square will reportedly top out at 27 stories — or more than 400 feet high. Plus, there will be a second headquarters office building of about 20 stories tall exceeding 300 feet in height.

Turns out this basic concept — two 20-something-story HQ buildings — has been SHW’s plan all along.
