The Albert M. Higley Co., a Cleveland-based provider of construction contracting services since 1925, announced today it has merged operations with T. Allen Incorporated of Berea. The parties said that they consider this to be a strategic union which marks a pivotal moment, consolidating two esteemed companies into a formidable force within the carpentry industry.
According to an AMHigley spokesperson, T. Allen’s staff will be based out of AMHigley’s headquarters at 3636 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland’s Midtown neighborhood. T. Allen was located at 200 Depot St. in Berea. AMHigley currently has 180 full-time salaried employees, with 20-60 union carpenters. T. Allen is bringing anywhere from 20 to as many as 50 union carpenters depending on the time of year due to fluctuations in industry workload.
In 2023, AMHigley’s leadership engaged in discussions with Randy Hamilton, owner, and co-founder of T. Allen. Hamilton shared plans for retirement and the future of the business, with a primary concern for the seamless transition of his team to a company aligned with shared values. Recognizing the natural synergy between the two firms, AMHigley’s leadership said it welcomed T. Allen’s team into its fold.

T. Allen Incorporated’s workers are based out of this facility at 200 Depot St. in Berea but will soon be moved to AMHigley headquarters in Cleveland (Google).
T. Allen Inc. was founded in 1987 by Hamilton and Thomas Krivos as a carpentry subcontractor. It soon garnered acclaim for its commitment to quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to client expectations, Vaughan said. The shared values and impressive track record of T. Allen complement AMHigley’s legacy to customer service. Representatives of both companies said they share a passion for safety, continuous improvement and unparalleled quality.
“This merger enhances AMHigley’s capabilities in carpentry and demountable wall installation, providing partners with an elevated level of service,” said AMHigley’s Chief Operating Officer Dave Pastir who was promoted last month from executive vice president. “By pooling our expertise, we aim to deliver a broader spectrum of services while maintaining the exceptional quality and personalized attention that clients have come to expect from both T. In addition to Cleveland, AMHigley has offices in Akron, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Morristown, NJ. Company officials reassured its clients and partners that this merging of operations will not disrupt ongoing projects with T. Allen.
