Company rebrands for the next century
Back in 1925, Albert Higley Sr. did what the founders of many new companies owners did. He started building small. But unlike many new companies, his Cleveland-based construction firm didn’t stay small for long. Now, 100 years later, The Albert M. Higley Co. also known as AMHigley, is thinking big as it refreshes its image for the next century.
Today, Higley unveiled its new logo and company Web site. The fresh new logo and the video-heavy, interactive Web site www.higleybuilds.com introduces visitors to the company. And it provides more than just a glimpse into its past, present and future.
Company officials said AMHighley grew because it built more than just structures. The construction management and general contractor quickly built a reputation for quality and trust, And, they said the firm has been able to sustain that reputation into its second century.
“Higley Construction is excited about what the next century holds as we embrace our new brand while still highlighting our 100 years of history,” said Higley President Gareth Vaughan in a written statement. “I am proud to lead the company into the future and continue to make our mark on the construction industry.”
Under Vaughan, who became president in 2010, the company has embraced growth while honoring its history. It expanded a year ago by joining forces with T. Allen Inc. of Berea. AMHigley retains its headquarters at 3636 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland’s Midtown neighborhood. It also has five regional offices and a portfolio that currently spans Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and West Virginia.

Constructing some of the most iconic buildings in Cleveland, Higley Construction’s early work includes the Hiram College Science Building (1927), Curtiss-Wright Terminal, now Cuyahoga County Airport (1929), Historic Coast Guard Station (1939), and the Western Reserve Historical Society (1957).
For the last 100 years, Higley Construction has continued to build Cleveland. One of Higley’s largest projects, Eaton’s North American Headquarters, stands tall in the eastern Cleveland suburb of Beachwood.
From the Edgewater Beach House to the current $100 million Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s expansion, their work can also be seen on the shores of Lake Erie. Higley Construction has completed hundreds of office interior projects, transforming spaces within the iconic buildings that define Cleveland’s skyline.
The company has also built some of the nation’s foremost healthcare and educational institutions. Its attention to detail and dedication to exceeding client expectations have solidified its reputation as a trusted partner in shaping exceptional spaces, company officials said.
Throughout 2025, Higley Construction will be celebrating its centennial year with “100 Days of Service” by giving back to the community in a variety of ways. Higley officials said their people have always had a strong commitment to giving back to the communities where they work and live.
