Today, developers Northern Real Estate Urban Ventures and SLSCO hosted a ribbon cutting celebration for the reopening of 9410 Hough at its namesake address in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood. It officially marked the revival of a forlorn building that was left for dead and held back its surrounding neighborhood.

Construction activity on Cleveland’s West Side is ramping up inside the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Zone — defined by the city as the land within a quarter mile (about a five-minute walk) of a high-frequency transit station. Developments within the zone are exempt from parking mandates, reducing construction costs and encouraging transit ridership.

On Friday, City Planning Commission unanimously approved a planned 209-unit lakefront apartment development at the north end of Cleveland’s Goodrich-Kirtland Park neighborhood. The project, Union at Cleveland Harbor, is being developed by the Annex Group of Indiana and designed by RDL Architects of Beachwood.
