Sherwin-Williams outlines new HQ parking plan

This week, Sherwin-Williams released a parking plan for workers at its new Downtown Cleveland headquarters that is due to open sometime in mid-2025. The parking plan was provided to the nearly 3,500 headquarters employees to answer their commuting questions, although the impacts of the plan will effect other workers, residents and visitors in the western part of downtown.

Cleveland planners OK 150-foot-tall billboard in Flats

Cleveland City Planning Commission today approved placing a 150-foot-tall pole-mounted billboard at a Flats East Bank property owned by an affiliate of controversial local businessman Tony George. It is the second of three billboards that George has received city permission to build in order to fulfill a court-approved settlement prior to demolishing an oft-vandalized building for the Irishtown Bend Park in Ohio City.

Today, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic and Bedrock Real Estate revealed the first official renderings of the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center. Flats luxury finally coming home

It’s the type of housing development that could not be achieved in Cleveland’s Flats until now. And the proof of that statement rests with the multiple prior attempts at developing this site. While there’s still a ways to go, a big step forward was made on Friday when City Planning Commission’s Design Review Committee approved the construction of luxury housing and a retaining wall along Carter Road.

Cavs-Clinic Riverfront building is big, evolving

More illustrations were made publicly available this week, showing the large size of a new facility planned next to the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ basketball practice facility and Cleveland Clinic’s sports health-related medical services. Kansas City-based architectural firm Populous submitted the plans for what would be Bedrock Real Estate’s first new building in its ambitious $3.5 billion riverfront development to the City Planning Commission’s Design Review Committee.

Cleveland, Bedrock OK roles in $3.5B project

Yesterday, at its regular weekly meeting, Cleveland City Council voted to approve an updated and expanded Master Development Agreement (MDA) between Bedrock Real Estate and the city of Cleveland that serves as a guiding framework for Bedrock’s planned $3.5 billion riverfront development project. As one might expect, with such a large, multi-phase development, the project and its legal and fiscal frameworks are very complex. But the new frameworks helps spell out what is expected of each party.
