Partners working together on the transformational Irishtown Bend project have reached a tentative settlement agreement following a lawsuit by an affiliate of the George family against the use of eminent domain to acquire their land for the project. The Odeon concert club, 1295 Old River Rd., was among four contiguous parcels on Cleveland’s Flats East Bank that were sold last week to Cleveland-based GBX Group, a real estate development financier which specializes in structuring financing for historic rehabilitation projects. However, when contacted by NEOtrans, a GBX representative said their plans for the site would not be officially announced for at least two months.

That’s the case in the Superior Arts District where one former warehouse/textile building after another is falling under the redevelopment knife and coming out with a new lease on life. The biggest of those old buildings is the Artcraft Building, 2530-2570 Superior Ave. and is proving to be the most difficult to get rehabilitated.
